Сaturn is a fully self-contained, 6-plant system with the potential for expansion up to a 24-plant system through the addition of these 3-plant expansion kits. That’s the beauty of saturn – you are able to configure a system to fit your available space. This saturn 6 plant system is fully self contained. It also has the option of increasing up to a 24 plant system using the 3 plant expansion kits (sold separately).

What is a Flood and Drain system?

A Flood and Drain system works by pumping a nutrient solution from a reservoir into the buckets / trays that your plants are sat in. This floods the buckets and when the pump switches off (via a timer attached to the pump), the nutrient solution drains away into the reservoir. 

Whilst the buckets are full of nutrient solution the roots of the plants are submerged and they will take up all the nutrients they need. When the pump turns off and the nutrients drain away all stale air is taken away with it and fresh oxygen is then available for the plant to take up into its root zone.
