If you've looked at the BudBox tents lately, then you've noticed that they offer a choice in the interior - white or silver. But what is the best cover?
Most tent manufacturers do not offer this choice, they use a standard Maylar interior trim. But the fact that the cover marker is standard in this industry does not necessarily mean that this is the best option for work.
In experiments in which the Mylar coating compares with PAR + / white interior /, interesting results are obtained!
One such experiment tests the light footprints created by the two 1.2 m x 1.2 meter tents equipped with a 600W HPS lamp in an adjustable reflector. The result for PAR + is a more even distribution of light and a greater amount of total PAR light (10% extra) inside the white lined tent compared to the silver-coated tent:
Other tests show that a silver-plated tent may lead to a temperature of 6-8 degrees higher than the white tent. This is because Mylar reflects heat and is a better insulator, while white lining allows much of the heat to dissipate. If you fight the temperatures in your tent during the summer months, then the white lined tent can make a huge difference in your cultivation!
BudBox are known not to save resources and efforts in the making of their talents. In fact, they hire an independent company to test their tents against competition. The result? The BudBox tent is more reflective!
Conclusion:
For best results, choose the PAR + interior!
