Rhizopon Chryzotop Green 0.25% is a ready-to-use cut powder that contains 0.25% 3-indolyl butyric acid. Chryzotop is a means of promoting root formation in cuttings.

In plant buds, plant hormones or growth regulators (axins) are produced under the influence of light and heat; they are transported to that part of the plant where the roots are or should be. That is why the production of these hormones is better in the summer than in the winter. The best chance to root out cuttings is therefore from April to July. Outside this period the success of rooted cuttings is more difficult and often depends on time.

The addition of external growth substances to the cuttings - a hardening agent, usually called a cuttings agent - can help to root them out.

As a rule, the active substance in the cuttings powder is 3-indolyl butyric acid with a content of 0.25% to 1%. Due to its composition, the powder has a slow release effect, which often gives better results in cuttings. Thanks to this delayed action, it is also extremely suitable for cuttings that have to be transported or stored in a cold store for a while.

Evenly distributed

When working with cutting powder, it is important to ensure that the powder is distributed evenly and therefore above the cutting edge. Otherwise, cuttings can roughen unevenly if the powder is not used properly. It is also necessary to prevent the powder from contacting the leaves or other parts of the plants. This can cause damage. Also do not spray the cutting dust on the soil in the pot.
